Item configuration


How to edit Catalog digital service items

To enhance or modify the details of items in your digital catalog service, click on the name of the item you wish to edit. A new window will open in editing mode, where you can add descriptions, packages, item images, client-side add-to-cart buttons, and other settings.

Item title

The item title is displayed in the Catalog list and when the item is added to a dashboard.

Click on the title field to add or edit the item title.

Short description and description

The item short description is displayed in the Catalog list and when the item is added to a dashboard. The full description is only displayed in the item details mode.

Access the Short Description and Description fields to add or modify content.

Staff emails

The staff email field allows you to receive notifications related to the item like orders and reservations.

Enter or edit staff emails, separating multiple addresses with a comma like so: a@b.com, b@a.com. The notifications will be sent to all of the specified emails.

The image is displayed in the Catalog list and when the item is added to a dashboard.

Locate the Image section on the top right side. You can click on this section or drag and drop an image into it. A popup will appear, allowing you to add, drop, or select an image from the media gallery for the item.

Image gallery

The image gallery is displayed in item details mode as a slider, excluding the main image.

The Image Gallery section is found under the main Image section on the right side. Click or drag images into this section. A popup will appear, allowing you to add, drop, or select an image from the media gallery for the item's gallery.

Quick tip: All images uploaded from the detail view will be sorted in automatically generated folders with the names of catalogs and services.


Display options for items

Define how the item will appear on mobile and STB (set-top box) platforms, including the main image, gallery images, and descriptions

  • Display item main image (To display Image of the items on mobile and TV clients)
  • Display item gallery images (To Display gallery images of the items on mobile and TV clients)
  • Display Description (To Display Description of the items on mobile and TV clients).


Pricing and order options

How does it work?

Customize pricing and order/booking details. Tailor button texts to fit the context, such as "Order" for food items or "Book" for restaurant reservations. It is very important to enable one of the buttons found in the “Order options” section. You can set the following important options:

  • The item can be set as Orderable or Bookable
  • Custom text can be added to the button
  • A price can be set for the item.

Availability options

Adjust the item's availability by setting valid from/to dates, duration (if applicable), and opening hours., select the "No limit" option if no specific validity period is needed

  • Validity Date (Add From and due date also you can select No limit option if there will be no specific validity hour)
  • Duration: (Optional as per need if have any booking/Order duration) 
  • Opening Hours (Add opening and closing hour for restaurants etc).

Packages

The content will not be displayed unless it is assigned a package. If all of your guests will be granted access to the same content, the only package you need to assign is the “Public” package.

Examples of item content

Below are some examples of how the item content is displayed across different views. The first example is showing the item on a dashboard, the 2nd image is a detailed view of the item and the third is the item listed in an open Catalog.


TV view


Keep in mind that an item will not display unless a main and a sub category are assigned. This means that the item should always have at least 2 categories assigned.
